Main Street Vintage Consignment Agreement

Here's how our consignments work.....Main Street Vintage will be happy to take any of your belongings for a 60-day consignment period provided that they are in good condition and we feel we have a market for them.

What we take....We accept antiques, vintage, collectibles, quality used furniture, lamps, pictures, mirrors, accessories ...almost anything used to furnish your home. Items need to be cleaned/polished and ready to sell. Please email pictures of large items to make sure we can accept them before bringing.

  We currently do not accept clothes unless vintage.

Setting the price....Price will be set by Main Street Vintage. Most items will not bring what you paid for them when they were new, but there are exceptions. The value of true antiques (items over 100 years old), for example may have increased over the years. Please give us good or bad information about your pieces that could help us set prices, for example if repairs have been made.

The cost of consignment....There is no up-front charge when an item is accepted by Main Street Vintage for consignment. When an item is sold, you the consignor, will receive 50% of the actual selling price. You will have Online Sales Access to your account at no extra cost. 

Consignors are paid on the 5^th of the month. 

Money not picked up within 90 days of sold date is subject to forfeiture.

Discounting…

1-15 Days: We retain the right to reduce an item 10% to facilitate a sale.

16-30 Days: If the item does not sell in the first 15 days, item will be discounted by 25%.

31-60 Days: After 30 days, the original price will be discounted by 50%.

If any of your items have not sold within 60 days and you want them back you should pick them up at the end of the 60-day period. It is your responsibility to find your item and bring it to the front desk to be returned to you. Please call Main Street Vintage at least 24 hours before pick-up. 

*After 65 days, items not picked up will belong to Main Street Vintage and MSV reserves the right to dispose of unsold items with no further notice or payment to the consignor. 

Losses….Main Street Vintage will not be responsible for any loss or damage of merchandise, property or equipment, either from natural or unnatural causes, such as theft, breakage, fire, flood, wind, rain, or any other cause whatsoever.

Drop In: Anyone may bring us up to 10 items Tuesday - Friday between the hours of 10:00 – 5:30. No appt. is needed. Please be sure to bring enough help to move your items in and out of the store.

By Appt: If our "drop-in" hours don't fit your schedule we may be able to work with you by appt.
